Review: LG Optimus F5 Non-Camera (LG-P875)

After spending quite some effort to source for the LG Optimus F5 non-camera phone, lady luck finally smiled on me. I managed to grab hold of a few units for my friends and myself. This is the first non-camera phone that supports 4G/LTE (800MHz/1800MHz/2600MHz). The design is simple and sleek, and fits well in the hand. We shall first begin with the un-boxing process before we go into more details.

The accessories that came along is pretty standard. It included a 2-pin charger, a micro-usb cable and a 3.5mm in-ear earpiece. Do check that your unit must come with the “Certificate of Camera Removal” card, as it is required to verify that the camera removal is performed by LG. The set is made in Korea. The bundled battery was rated at 2150mAh, and should have enough juice to last me a day based on my current usage pattern. The battery usage time varies for different people.

Let us now take a closer look at the phone from the different angles. As mentioned earlier, the design of the phone is very minimal. Basically, every single side only contained 1 function. The front has the light sensor and soft keys for “Back”, “Home” and “Menu”. The top having the 3.5mm earphone jack, while the left containing the volume control buttons. The right side is your on/off button, and the bottom hosting the micro-usb port.
