Steak Night at Greenhouse, Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Earlier in my post on Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora, I mentioned I wanted to deviate from Colin’s favorite steaks to bring him somewhere different on his birthday. But once again, our fate with steaks never ends when my mum made reservations for a birthday dinner treat at Greenhouse Ritz-Carlton Hotel and as the title suggests, “YES, it’s steak night!” Instead of just classic steaks, we were surrounded by 11 hearty beef dishes prepared by Executive Chef Massimo Pasquarelli including a 36-hour Braised Beef Shank, Grade 5 Tomahawk Wagyu Beef and Wagyu Burgers a la minute. We were practically spoilt for choices given the variety of beef dishes and not let alone, there was also a wide variety of cold dishes, Indian cuisine, garnishes and desserts to go along for a hearty buffet meal.

Here’s a brief look at a portion of the buffet spread of the night,

That is not all. There is also the noodles (laksa and chicken broth noodles), Indian cuisine (Naan, chapati, etc.), gelato stations and hot dishes station that are included in the pictures.

In particular, Colin was impressed with the quality of the beef wellington. Those of you who are avid fans of the reality series Hell’s Kitchen, you would know that beef wellington is a tricky yet sophisticated dish that can go wrong even in the hands of executive chefs. However, the beef wellington that we had at Greenhouse was succulent and tender with an outer crispy puff pastry.

Beef Wellington!

On a final note, we are satisfied with the spread and quality of the buffet dinner at $78++/adult. Last but not least, we ended the sumptuous night with a complimentary birthday cake from Greenhouse.
