Ashley @ BabySPA

A haircut visit turns into an unexpected swimming sessions for Ashley! We did see BabySPA previously before Annabelle gave birth to Ashley while window shopping at Changi City Point Mall. There were thoughts but no decision made as we were unsure if Ashley would enjoy.

After trimming Ashley’s hair, we brought Ashley for the swimming trial before deciding whether to sign up the package. After seeing how Ashley enjoyed herself in the water, we signed up the 20-sessions package. The package also came with a tabletop photo which you have to take at Venus D’Wedding. The staff there was friendly and helpful, at least for the branch which we frequent. Other services which BabySPA provides are haircut, baby massage, sales of Korean-made playmats, beans spout husk pillows and etc.

Precious Moments Figurine Deals!

If you are a collector of Precious Moments figurines like us, I have found a good online place for you to shop. Are you aware that Amazon is able to ship the figurine directly to you? And most importantly, it is cheaper than the prices sold locally! That’s after factoring in the 10% discount if you are a member of Precious Thots, the official distributor of Precious Moments figurines in Singapore.

A good example would be the limited to only 3,000 pieces worldwide figurine, “In My Dreams I’m Always With You“. The retail price in Singapore is $360 SGD and without the 10% member discount, you can bring it home at $324 SGD. Amazon is currently selling it at $171.34 USD with direct shipping (based on Standard Shipping 9-12 days) to Singapore at $17.70 USD. After conversion, it would be $250 SGD!

Have fun shopping for your collectible Precious Moments figurines today at the comfort of you home!

New Firmware (N7105XXDMB3) Released for Samsung Galaxy Note II (LTE) – GT-N7105

If you are not sure what is the version of firmware that you are currently running, open the dial pad and ‘*#1234#’. A screen should pop-up and show you the AP, CP and CSC model. If you AP does not read N7105XXDMB3, then you are due for an upgrade.

Based on some testings perform by forumers in xda-developers, this version has fixed the battery drain issue found in N7105XXDLL7. And of course, it fixes some other minor bugs as well. For those who do not root your Note 2, you are good to go with Over-the-Air (OTA) update. Otherwise, you may download the firmwares below depending on your providers.

Steps on installation can be found on my previous post.

Update your Samsung Galaxy Note II (LTE) – GT-N7105 to Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2!

Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 for Samsung Galaxy Note II (LTE) is out! The firmwares are available for all 3 local telcos, namely M1,  SingTel and StarHub.

You may either download the update via Over-the-Air (OTA) transmission or perform a manual update. Since my phone is a rooted set, I am unable to grab the update through OTA. The manual updating process is very simple. Basically, it is almost identical as the process to root your phone except that the file used is different.

Review: ASUS VivoBook S400CA (Internal & Upgrades)

In my earlier post, I have discussed the design and specifications of the new ASUS VivoBook S400. Now, we will be looking at a slightly more technical aspect of the S400.  The base of the ASUS VivoBook S400 is secured by 10 screws and plastic clips around the border of the chassis.

Upon removal of the screws and unlocking the plastic clips, you will be able to have a full view of the components of the ASUS VivoBook S400.
