Disney BRITTO™ Figurine – Sorcerer Mickey

My belated Christmas present for myself finally arrived today after a delay shipment by i-Parcel. Laid my eyes on the Sorcerer Mickey figurine (4030815) when I went shopping at Precious Thots! It is designed by an artist by the name of Mr. Romero Britto. He has many great works that you can find in Orchard ION, Opera Gallery. The BRITTO™ series of his paintings are very nice but they also come at a big price tag. They have a full height painting of Mickey and Minnie displayed in the showcase.

Tea time at D’Zerts Cafe

On a random Sunday before our spa session, we decided to go somewhere near for a quick lunch after dropping Ashley off at my mum’s place. That’s how we chanced upon D’Zerts Cafe conveniently located  at Jalan Pari Burong where we are having our lunch. Although we did not have sufficient time to stop by for desserts straight after lunch, the waffle dessert that they advertised on their window was lingering in my mind. Therefore, I thought, “Let’s check out this cafe on our way back since it is on the way to pick up Ashley.” Indeed, we went back to try out the desserts right after our spa session.

Root your Google Chromecast

This is a follow up from the previous artcile on “Review: Google Chromecast“. In this article, I shall be writing a simple guide to let you follow through on rooting your Google Chromecast.

Some may ask “Why do you want to root your Google Chromecast?”. The answer is simple! It is to unleash the full potential of this tiny flash drive lookalike device. I believe there are tons and tons of articles on what a rooted Google Chromecast can do, so I shall not elaborate further.

** Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you were to mess up your Chromecast and caused it to brick. Do not proceed from here if you are unsure of what you are doing. Do it at your own risk.

Things you will need for the rooting process:

  1. A Google Chromecast with the old firmware v1.0 bootloader. How to find out? Check out via the serial no. here!
  2. A flash drive with min. size of 128MB. ** Data inside will be wiped out. **
  3. Latest FlashCast firmware [LINK]
  4. PwnedCast ROM [LINK]
  5. Win32 Disk Imager [LINK]
  6. A powered OTG micro-USB cable

Root your Nexus 7 Flo (2013) on Android 4.4 KitKat (KRT16S)

I have finally laid my hands onto the latest tablet released by Google in partnership with ASUS. It is none other than the Nexus 7 Flo (2013). This tablet though slimmer (8.65 mm) and lighter (290 gram) than its predecessor is much more powerful.

It comes with a 7.02″ 1920×1200 (323ppi) 1080p HD IPS  display, and running on a Quadcore 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of memory. The default OS loaded during shipping is Android 4.3 Jellybean, at least for the set that I received. Please kindly perform an OTA update to Android 4.4 KitKat before proceeding with the rooting guide.
