Review: Wellements Baby Move (Constipation)

I believe constipation in a baby is one of the worst nightmare of mummies. What follows can be worse when the baby starts to produce hard stools that cause bleeding. My first bad experience happened when we brought Ashley on a holiday when she was 12 months old. As Ashley started teething at a later stage than most other kids, there were limited types of food that we can feed her at that stage. The real challenge came when fruits and vegetables that can be easily be chewed and swallowed with just gums are not readily accessible when one is overseas. Hence, that was the first time we had Ashley not poo for 2-3 days and when she does, the stools became so hard that she always cries when she tries to get them out of her system.

Therefore, this prompted me to find a solution for this problem even if this may not be a recurrent event. After reading on mummy forums and talking to other mummies, prune juice appeared to be an easy option to solve the constipation issue as it is liquid and can be easily consumed by Ashley.

Ashley’s Photoshoot with StudioPlay

It’s been a pretty long while since I have time to sit down to write a blog post. So, here are the long-awaited photos Ashley took with StudioPlay when she was 7 months old (so yes indeed, these photos are dated almost 9 months back!). Ever since I was pregnant with Ashley, I was always having fun browsing through photos of my friends’ babies on Facebook and yes, StudioPlay was one baby photo studio that I set my mind on when I was like 6-7 months preggie. I was amazed by the pretty baby photos done by StudioPlay and their cute props in their studio that I wasted no time in signing up with them at the baby fair. So here are some of my favorite shots of Ashley and our family photo done by StudioPlay.

Review: Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Jumperoo

As parents, there are always thousand and one things you would want to get for your little angel at home. Colin and I are no exception. With Baby Ashley growing up day by day, we decided it’s time to start buying her toys that she can play in or play with to keep her entertained at home. Nowadays, toys are not just meant for entertainment. Instead, majority of them are equipped with additional benefits such as educational value. Therefore, choosing toys for kids are no longer a no-brainer but instead, you have to review and analyze what is most suited to the kid before any purchase.

So, what sparked our thought in the purchase of the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Jumperoo? On a random day of scrolling through events on my Facebook page, I came across an uploaded video of my friend’s baby in her jumperoo. It was pure cute-ness as I watched the baby bounced up and down the jumperoo and you can totally share the baby’s joy through the video clip. With no doubt, I showed Colin the video clip and “TA-DANG”, we decided we should get one for Ashley. We believe she’ll love the toy as much as my friend’s little one given that our active little sweetheart loves to give her body a nice workout every moment of the day. In addition, there are several plus points to the jumperoo as a toy, (1) the moving, spinning and jumping can greatly enhance the child’s large motor skills and (2) the colorful toys and fun music  can act to further stimulate their visual and auditory senses.

Review: Medela Value Pack Bpa-free Feeding Gift Set : New Wide Base Nipple

This is definitely one  accessory worth adding to your breastfeeding experience. Ever since I delivered my little angel, Ashley in early January this year, I have been faithfully breastfeeding her for the attributed health benefits. Besides letting her latch on to me directly, I have been actively pumping at a regular basis to boost my milk supply and thus the heavy demand for storage solutions. Therefore, I have purchased Medela Value Pack Bpa-free Feeding Gift Set : New Wide Base Nipple. This is a useful breastfeeding set that I have purchased to solve my breastmilk storage problems as it contains not only milk bottles of two different sizes, 80ml and 150ml, it also includes 20 Pump & Save Breastmilk storage bags that is compatible with Medela breastpumps. Now, I do not have to worry to rush to wash and sterilize the milk bottles every time Ashley finishes her milk or prolonging the time interval to pump due to insufficient storage space.
